I just had a client send this to me. He has a ruckus/mikrotik network that springs set up but wants this ability. I understand how it works but im just confused on the legality of how they can sell it.

Seems like a very cool solution though if it doesn't get banned!

It looks like it is just creating a VPN between the home network and the teleport. You could bring a router and accomplish almost the same thing. Or just setup a VPN on your current router and teach the client to connect to that VPN on their computer. The unique feature here is this device can connect to any WiFi network it seems along with what I would assume should be easy setup.

I will be curious to see some more technical specs on the device. Specifically what kind of throughput can it support especially if they are advertising streaming.

I also am going to assume it can broadcast WiFi so other devices can connect but not sure on that one.

Now if they are not using a VPN to accomplish this then it will be very interesting.

Gotta be a VPN. Give it a fancy name and some splashy advertising and its new and exciting.

Yeah, just a preconfigured VPN that you can just plug in to anywhere without knowing how to or having to set up a VPN connection on your computer.
