I want something i can install on a laptop/desktop/phone/ipad. I used One Note years ago and really liked it. I switched over to Evernote at some point. I was never a big fan but it was free so i dealt with it.

Evernote wants me to pay $70 a year if i want it on more than one computer and my phone.

Office Home is $100 a year. I could use One Note up to 5 users so i assume i am covered. So for $30 more i get office and onedrive. I don't really use Office anymore. We switched to google at work. But its only $30 more than evernote

Are there any other note taking apps that sync across devices? Anything free/

+1 Google Keep is Google's best kept secret.  If you want to have something a little more "fancy" check out the free version of Asana.

Evernote turned into sheet and a money grab. Get all your info off there if possible and move on.

I've used Evernote to keep important tech things together, so they're notes, not tasks, I also want to keep them synced on more than two devices.

Asana looks really capable... which means a bit complicated. I think you'll know this if you've used it: Can it be used just for a group of small documents that sync over three devices?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
