I saw "Dutch Oven" and all I could think of was this:

Apparently we all DO love fins. It took 12 posts for that pretty obvious subject to come up.

I had only heard the term used that way once when I ran across a story on reddit. This guy tells of doing this (read the article) to his dachshund, who loved to sleep under the blankets at the guy's feet. All was okay for maybe two seconds, then wiener dog started his frantic struggling to exit the bed. On the way out he barfed in the guy's face, then ran around the apartment barfing here and there pretty much randomly. Those facts have the basis for a funny story and the guy telling it had me in stitches because he told it so well.

Meanwhile, back to actual cooking.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Oh, if my son had his way, he would be killing something and cleaning it and cooking it up too. But the time frame makes that kind of tough

Not if he's ruthlessly efficient.

And yet, dogs are OK with crop-dusting in a room full of people.
