Do any of the current video doorbells have contact closure to operate an electronic strike to unlock door or gate through the app?

From Doorbird's home page:
You can see your visitors, talk to them and open the door - from anywhere in the world - via smartphone and tablet.

Doorbird can be used with wifi or hard-wired. It has a couple of dry contacts that can be used to ring an actual doorbell locally. And it was pretty amusing to see a still of two LAPD cops taken at 3:45 AM at the front door of a musician client....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Doorbird does it will. The new flush version got rid of the bubble motion sensor that got pressed in on every job. Outs a really solid piece actually.

Only two things of minor note:

No ability to set static ip in the device. Not the end of the world but annoying since there reboot daily.

IR light only activates on motion so if you have out connected to an NVR it looks like a black screen until motion. Again, not the end of the world but seems ridiculous for something in its price point since its constantly powered.

But the POE is great, integration with C4 and intercom is great, and everything but the entry level piece is very attractive.

I would like to see a doorking 1812 swap in same case from Doorbird.

Agreed. The doorbird units are working for me. Hasn’t  done many but they are good. Just use DHCP reservation for the IP address. The OK pile app is simple. We use them with Crestron but have also done stand alone.

Can you do MAC reservation on your router to maintain IP?

Thanks Guys... I took a quick look at their website and looks like this is the right product.

What's the deal with the "Daily Reboot"?  Is this an internal feature that just restarts the thing every day?

I expect MAC reservation would lock in the IP address since it's using DHCP, but would be nice to confirm this.

No IR except when motion detected seems weird, but probably not a deal breaker.

Agreed that a 1812 sized unit would be a great solution... I think 90%+ of my clients have the 1812 DoorKing on pedestal at the gate.

Do they offer any type of pedestal mounted unit for gate access/control?  I didn't see anything on their website.  Everything seemed to be designed for door access/control.

Where do you purchase DoorBird.  I checked a few current distributors and didn't see them listed.  Are they direct or through rep firms?

In L.A you can buy from K.O.A. (King Of Accessories). They have multiple stores around the L.A area. I use the one on La Brea, it's smaller and Vic the manager is a good guy and stands behind things.
You can also go direct.

I burnt up a good portion of the last two days because of doorbird due to their automatically pushing new firmware that ads new features and breaks integration with other products, and them not having any tech support whatsoever.
