Yes I've tried the all mighty Goog.... Lots of amazon and alibaba stuff that looks questionable. I'm almost ready to try wireless from our friends over at Metra.

This is an older house on slab and no attic. Currently running on analog component vid. Just seeing if anyone here has had any luck with a particular product.

Thx in advance.

HD-SDI to HDMI converters are probably your best bet right now. Offered from many manufacturers.

Plus, I believe most of the 5 coax to HDMI converters were only rated to 1080P.

We used these from Ethereal with success until the owner re-arranged the house and we were able to go direct HDMI [Link: metrahometheater.com]
You will need to ensure your connectors are BNC (don't use BNC to RCA adapters)
You are limited to 1080P with them though
You can't fix stupid

Why use 4 coax when you can do it with just one coax? SDI is the answer.

True dat. The first time I shot trouble* on a 3-tube projector, the problem was an F connector to BNC adaptor. Client wanted quick fix, got it. A new adaptor.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ethereal CS-MiniSDI. Good to 1080P, but blind to 480P FYI. Use them all the time.

I have used these twice and consider them to be a good solution. However, in both my setups, I not only could not pass 480P, but 720P and 1080P failed also. Meaning I could not use a Roku or an Apple TV in either of those setups. I don’t know if it was just me. Found it odd that two different setups worked the same way.

Never had that issue with either Roku or ATV. I have used them on a ton of retro projects. That's odd.

Perhaps the thing that worked might point us at what made the other setups fail. What was it that worked in those two cases? And might I ask what the other components in that particular chain are?

Did you mean that you only tried Roku and Apple TV with those, and they would not work? Or that you tried lots of stuff and only the Roku and Apple TV didn't work? Those would be two different problems.

2 diff locations. One feed from a Yamaha AVR, other a new Integra. Both newer Samsung TVs. Cable box and BDP at 1080i passed, no streaming passed. BDP would not pass 480, 720, or 1080P.

That’s all I’ve got for you.
