I have an outdoor TV and a firepit about 25' away. I don't have electrical near my Firepit but would like to listen to the TV with a wireless Bluetooth speaker. Since I don't have electrical by the Firepit, is there a wireless Bluetooth speaker that charges that I could use by my Firepit that will play the audio out of my TV?
My TV only has an optical out (no analog), so I would need something to transmit the audio from whatever is playing on the TV to the Bluetooth speaker near the Firepit.

Hoping anyone has any suggestions on products? Not looking for extreme audio quality, or anything with ground-breaking sound, just a way to listen to the TV from afar without making it so loud.

Thanks,
James

Not going to happen without introducing delays.

Just use an outdoor sound bar or add some speakers around the area. Triad ONE amp or one of the amps from episode.

Rob,
That looks like a great product that can get the job done.

I have a couple of questions about it.

You have to mount it so that you can see the lights on it, right? The review at Crutchfield mentions those LEDs tell you when you're connected.

And is the pass-through feature's audio synced with the headphone audio? Neither headphone nor pass-through would necessarily be synced with the picture, but that's nowhere near as bothersome as multiple sound sources that are out of sync.

Thanks for sharing this info with us.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

My biggest concern would be delays that Brendon mentioned but rather the annoyance that can be Bluetooth.  It works, but sometimes it doesn't.  I will admit I don't use it much except for in the car/van, but when I have, I had mysterious drop outs or worse, the device would simply not connect to the speaker and had to factory reset and redo the pairing.  If you can get outdoor speakers in the area that is hard wired, I think you would have a better system overall.  That of course assumes you can get wiring someplace nearby that makes sense.

If you want bluetooth you are probably going to have to 'trial & error' this. Bluetooth is only spec'd for 30ft. That being said, I have ran across many devices over the years, that will only get you 15ft max. Then there are those devices that seem to get me 35 or even 40ft on jobs. You just won't know until you try.
