Client just sent me a pic of their master bedroom tv. It has a JAP Ultra HD logo in the middle of the screen and at bottom left “waiting for source” and bottom right has IP address. So how do I fix this?

Means the transmitter is not getting any video. Either the source is off or HDMI was unplugged

Or the switch port went bad. Had that on a luxul switch yesterday. Although I would check everything else first.

I have a job where thia has happened twice in a few months. Each time a reboot of the Luxul switch fixed it. Not sure what would cause this. It’s been the same TV bothe times.

I just had a Cisco SG300-52P switch fail in a J+P system last week.

I don't use Luxul and never will, but Cisco certainly has its issues as well. I deal with Cisco problems almost weekly from ports going bad to power supplies just stopping. This still happens on fully conditioned and battery back-up data centers.

Right! I'm sick and effin tired of both brand of switches letting go. Our last Luxul let go a day before last Christmas on a 7X10 project. Cute. That was out last Luxul product ever. Even if they were free, um, no.

The new justOS B.1.0.0 firmware we are releasing this week will support installing Just Add Power on just about any 1GB rated switch you can find.

Will Jad Config still only setup with a Cisco?  The config tool really makes it very easy to setup.

Luxul too.  And a few others I believe that aren't really suggested, but are in the JADConfig as options.

Oh yeah?  I didn't realize.  I have only manages Jap systems for a while now, haven't added any new ones so haven't used Jad Config in quite a while.  Good to hear they added more than just Cisco which was all that was available when I last used it.

Wouldn't this just add to the problems? Is there something out there better than the SG series for this specific purpose?

Seems to me this would be an advantage of snap's new system -- thier own in-house brand -- one could get support with 3 years down the line if the switch fails.
