Customer reviews are never to taken to be taken lightly! If, as you say they are crap and or worthless, why would Sonos or any other site put the effort into their site to host and display them?

Have no idea how many they have sold, maybe the IPO can give us a clue, millions would not be unreasonable!

I have no clue because my query is something you disagree with, wonderful logic their Brad!

Whatever gave you the idea the iPhone is joke, really! Your eliteist comments as it relates to Netgear are nonsense!

Implicit in the list of equipment, relates to the complexity, the broad spectrum of the equipment and the lack of failures over many years of daily use.

Is the specific review statically significant, NO, but it does give pause!

g007. Oh boy. You lost me after making it sound like you think Netgear is good "go to" product. No, actually, you lost me with your first post putting credence into online reviews. Who would you trust more?: A custom integrator that does this for a living or some schmuck online that bought a product that doesnt know a damn thing about networking or pretty much anything related to integration.

Who takes the time to go online and write a review when they had a good experience or no issues? VERY few. How many go online to complain when they had a problem? VERY many. So to put much value in online reviews as a valuable measure of success is not smart. Its THAT simple.

Like I said, talking to a wall. The YEARS of experience replacing Netgear crap that cause a plethora of issues only to be fixed with the simple replacement. The years of seeing clients bitch about the Netgear router they bought dying just outside of warranty. Netgear is not good, simple as that. Customer reviews mean nothing. Hell, yelp, the Kings of online reviews pressures businesses to pay or suddenly phantom negative reviews pop up. I've seen competing businesses falsely review competitors.

My Sonos customers are actively promoting Sonos to their friends and, if there is a second or new house, Sonos is a part of the expansion. I don't think that this would be the case if Sonos was a bad product.

Since it is so obvious to the customer that the product is easy to work with, the customer will usually purchase additional units directly from Sonos. In this respect Sonos is not the greatest product for me to carry. I'll go back to an installation for an unrelated reason and there will be twice as many Sonos units -- but the additional units were purchased online, not from me.

Oh... we are playing devil's advocate. OK, I can do this.

SONOS is way over priced! Dayton Audio has their Hi-Fly system that is similar to SONOS and it is less than 1/4 of the price. Yes, 1/4 of the price. So why is SONOS so expensive!

*I did throw the unit away that I tested from Dayton Audio. It was soooo bad. But that is beside the point. Isn't it?

Actually there were over 2900 positive reviews!

Backbone smackbone, the system is not aimed at the commercial market, it is a consumer product!!

It is a voice activated INTELLIGENT wireless speaker, somewhat like the old Butler in a box unit. Not hard to figure out. Don't over complicate the thing!

I never said Sonos was a bad product, was just reflecting on the reviews. If it were bad they would have been gone long ago.

Aah the lament of the reps who build up the brand only to put aside after work is done.

Now that Sonos is public company, we will have a much better idea of whats going on: Sales, Rivals, Reliability issues, Margins, when will they turn a profit, all the good stuff.
