Yeah, well, that's understandable because your brain's going, too. Fins started that thread and you contributed only Posts 6, 32, and 35. You brought up Subway in Post 32. "Created that thread"? Nah.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I recently stopped my ceiling fan for the first time probably in a couple years. There was dust on the leading edges of the blades sticking out further than anyone would ever believe possible, like the impossibly long cigarette ash that won't fall.

I wonder, if I ran it for a couple decades, if it would eventually just become a solid disk?

So I'm in this McDonalds with my kids. We order. They stay at the counter to get the food when it's ready. I go check out the tables.

At a table for four there's a skinny lady with hair all askew. She's dressed in jeans an a T shirt that's way too big for her (Size L probably). She's holding a cigarette* with an ash way longer than an inch and her face tells me that's probably her millionth smoke. She's staring off into space.

The T shirt says "Don't start with me. You know how I get."

Somehow I was able to keep from laughing out loud.

*Yes, there was a time when there were worse things (cigarettes) to be found in the McDonalds' than the food.

If you have a client that does not pay, put some liquid ass on their ceiling fan.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

The ceiling fan in my bedroom is on 24/7/365.

On occasion, my house keeper turns it off and cleans the blades. When they are clean, the fan wobbles like crazy (yes i've tried to balance it but to no avail) Let it run for a couple weeks and it's runs perfectly...

The dust accumulation on the blades brings the fan into perfect balance.

One of these years I'll replace it. No rush since it works perfectly when dirty.

My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

No, but it would certainly look good while collecting dust....
