I must use two phones. In my contacts on the iPhone I can not find my other phone as I named it at some point in contacts. However if I call the iPhone it does come up as the name I once gave the other phone. Any ideas? Apple does seem to make a mess of contacts, exchange emails. Everything on my droid is great.

Negative, however- last year I started using iPlum which is a second line app that has worked pretty well. Minorly glitchy when on WiFi but has alleviated the need to carry two devices. When you receive the call, have you tried to add contact? Wonder if you select edit- it would give you what current name is?..

Edit displays correct info. It is just missing from contacts if I wanted to call it.

Found it. Still an apple issue. Contacts are in alphabetical order by last name. How ever it is also using first name. Example My work phone ends up in P's however so do Paul's if they don't have a last name starting with P. Screwy.

Are you trying to change the way the phone displays in your contacts list?

Settings > Contacts > Sort order First, Last. Also Display order First, Last.

Is that what you're trying to change?
