We started using POE splitters for this very reason. The decoders certainly don’t like any power fluctuations, which would make them require reboots.

Since making that switch, reliability has gone through the roof.

The decoders are basically a RPi with different software. They have a micro-USB (like almost all Android phones/tablets) connection for power and a standard ethernet port (not POE).

I can use any standard POE switch, that I usually have on a UPS, so power fluctuations, etc. are held at bay.

So JAP does not push 4K 60HZ 4/4/4 HDR10? Using a couple OLED's in this setup and don't want to compromise picture quality.

Then HDMI-over-IP is not the way to go.
