At the WWDC, Apple announced that the AppleTV 4K will have Dolby Atmos and...
Get this... they are working with Crestron, Savant and Control4. As it will allow you all to set up those remotes to work with ATV. I’m sure the current gen will work, hopefully the previous non 4K will work too.

Oh I forgot to mention. Last year they introduced “single sign in”. Basically the user just needed to sign into one service, say ABC, then the rest will work automatically. Well this year it should be a plug and play. It’s suppose to automatically see whose internet the ATV is plugged into and automatically unlock those channels. So I doubt it’ll work with Dish or DirecTV.
And Charter cable is suppose to allow the ATV access to its full live line up. Basically the ATV is replacing their cable boxes.
