some problem solvers to be shown at CES: (this is their press release -jj)
At CES, Gefen plans to unveil new products for home theater and audio/video environments including a prototype for a revolutionary new type of wireless, laser-based high definition video extension:
HDMI Switchers Two new models, a 2x2 and a 6x2, both route high definition video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p plus multichannel digital audio from each source to one or two display(s). The 2x2 comes with two source inputs and two outputs while the 6x2 comes with six source inputs and two outputs. The two identical HDMI outputs on each switcher allow HDMI to be sent to the display and an audio receiver independently, or to two displays at the same time.
2x1 DVI-DL Switcher Connects two dual link DVI sources to one dual link DVI display and switches access to each source by IR remote (included) or manual selection. Dual link DVI video, USB 2.0 and analog audio are routed for each source.
DVI-2000 HD Uses fiber optic cables to send dual link DVI video up to 330 feet from the source. A local sender unit and a remote receiver unit connect the computer to the extended display, linked by multimode fiber optic cables. One 12v power supply, connected at either end, powers the system.
Digital Audio Switcher Allows two digital audio source devices to connect to one receiver's output. Either source is accessed using a Gefen IR remote (included).
Digital Audio Extender Uses a sender unit and a receiver unit connected by a CAT-5E cable, available from Gefen in lengths ranging from 25 to 330 feet, to extend digital audio up to 330 feet.
DVI/CAT5 Extender Uses industry-standard CAT-5 cables to extend high definition digital displays up to 150 feet in length. HD resolutions up to 1080p are supported.

Julie, These are going to go right in my toolbox when they come out. This company has been serving the recording industry for a while now and they make great problem solvers. The USB and Apple ADC extenders have saved me numerous times. Gefen rocks! http://www.gefen.com/
