Takes a strong person to realize what you did. Good luck and stay focused.

Fin, lost my brother and other family members to this disease.
Just be strong and keep thinking that you are doing this for your kids and family.
If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?

You know, he'll need some strength when he comes back, too. We can help him with that and we've done the first steps by being encouraging. We have acknowledged that he's got the strength now to start. That means he's got the strength later, even if he doesn't feel like he has. We can remind him from time to time.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

A little bird called me today about this.  There's talk of starting a Small GoFundMe for Fins while he's away.  As you can imagine, this is going to be tough on his family as he obviously won't be able to provide for them.

I think it would be great if we could chip in a little bit so this is one less thing he has to worry about while away.

THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! If someone has ever started a gofundme, please start one for Fins and his family and publish the URL here.

Despite everything he's going through, he's still kept his sense of humor, so let's give him something to laugh or at least smile about when he's back by shocking the hell out of him with something tangible.

The strength it takes to accept, acknowledge and admit publicly is a HUGE step. I have no doubt you will knock this out. We are all behind you. Love ya man!

If I'm counting right, Fins will be out on July 2. We need to remember that he'll be out, but not done, and we need to keep helping him, holding him up in the time to come.

And I would expect that we would not hear from him on the forums, till sometime way after July 2. It is not like you go in and come out cured, it is not the flu. There are life changing routines that need to be followed and get used to.

Also when he gets out, he is going to have a ton of things to catch up on. Family, work, close friends, etc. I would not expect to see him on the forums, maybe even until August or later.

I just wanted to drop in and say thanks to everyone who has given.   It's nice to see that even through our head butting and bickering that we can support one of our own when he needs it.

So far to date, we've raised nearly $1350 for him.  It's not going to make him rich by any stretch, but I think his family will be very grateful.

$1420!

I'm grateful for his insight over the years so it's the least we can do!

That's the BEST reason in the world!

good luck on your new life... be strong..

i am assuming from your username you are a Miami Dolphins fan..As I am..

If this is true, you must pick another team... I have been a fan since 72. I was 9.

Loving this team will cause your situation. Go with the Pats and enjoy Brady until he retires...

Really, be strong and you will overcome this...
