Anyone have a go-to for boards and such..? I'm looking for a main board for a Samsung UN65C8000. I've checked shop jimmy and a bunch of other places online, and called a couple local shops as well. In my experience, the supply of parts for older displays is pretty much nonexistent, but this customer is one of the first I had when I went out on my own, so I told him I'd at least look into it.

Thanks in advance!

Ebay... Yes, it sounds risky. But if you are a savvy shopper (reputable sellers, one that allows returns, match the pic and p/n of your need with what seller has etc) you will do fine.

We buy and sell lots of TV parts this way. There are also guys on ebay that "fix" bad boards. We've done well buying parts on ebay... My own 55" Samy has a main board that cost $16.00. The tv was still under warranty, but it was easier for me to fix it myself with such a cheap part. That $16 saved me from having to deal with the Samsung warranty process.

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

My current Samsung is running an eBay main board.

Me EXACT experience. Worse, when I needed a One Connect cable because a client had left his in the old house, Samsung would not tell me the part number. They actually said they don't use part numbers for those. But once I found a part number, they verified it was correct. Said it was their policy that they could not give out part numbers. What BS.

Encopass had it in stock and got it to me FAST. Samsung expected me to wait while they ordered it and shipped it from Korea. Right.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I was trying to order a main board and called Samsung parts and was told its sold as is. No returns. 30 day warranty only. Encompass I could return, had longer warranty and was way less $$. Samsung no core return thus more $$. Encompass has a core charge and refunds when you send back the part.
