Peerless mounts shows 14 different articulating mounts that will work for the TV. The top 3 choices look like they will work fine. [Link: peerless-av.com]

Anybody have an articulating mount that will for sure work with the POS 43X800E? There are plenty that say they support 100x200 but what they don't tell you is because the mounting pattern is so low, the wall side of the mount hangs below the TV.

This is the number one gripe I have with Sony TVs. They have gotten better recently, but a lot of models had that issue for a while. That and a baseball bat sized power brick.

This is an E series, so fairly new.
With regular size TV's it's not usually too much of an issue but putting a 43" with a low bolt pattern on an articulating mount is proving to be a pain in the ass. I have no issues "modifying" a mount but even that isn't working out.
I found one that looks like it will work............. An Effing "Rocketfish" from BB. FML!
Wall Mount World in Shreveport LA had the mount I used to solve the problem of this thread. The thing is, they (a nice guy named Jerry) don't have actual dimensioned drawings, so he actually could not tell me the dimensions from, say, the bottom hole of the 100 x 200 pattern, so we had to order it to see.
The mount arrived while the walls were open for electrical work. We did a trial mount and the client knows but I didn't notice whether the bottom of the mount is visible. I'll edit this when the client answers me about this.
(This was done informally as the client is both a friend and a client, the kind of guy who gets billed for about 60% of the day because we spend so much talking about music and electronics and things.)

I did one of these TVs earlier in the year. It was for a bedroom. Unfortunately, they built a build out to frame the TV in with a Playbar. Where the power and my prewire were, I couldn't use a standard wall mount with the issues mentioned earlier.
Long story longer, I switched to a Snap smallish articulating mount and (from what I can recall) added some small backstrap-like Home Depot brackets, tinnerman clips and screws and made it work. It did flex a bit, kind of a science project, but wasn't going to ever be moved, other than service. Not sure if another guy here would laugh at that, or give a thumbs up for making it work... I took the latter :)

I posted about this about a year and a half ago or longer on this exact model and that pattern. Back then finding a mount with that pattern was even harder. SnapAV’s site at the time mentioned how their mounts weren’t compatible with that Sony pattern. Anyways I used this tv with a peerless articulating mount. I had to mod the mounting bracket and but after that it worked great. Really didn’t take to much work to adapt it, came out beautiful.
Also that pro mode is covered in
Here’s some pics of the mount itself on a 43x800e (although it doesn’t show my mount mods up close).
