If it is displaying 4K at all, then the box is NOT the Genie (HR54). You are using a client box (C61K) - also known as a mini-genie. [Just because DirecTV loves to create even more confusion with boxes].
The main box (Genie or HR54) does NOT output 4K. It can't. It does not have the ability. That is why to do 4K, you have to use a client box (C61K). Which is obviously what you are using, if you get 4K hooked directly to the TV.
Unless.... there is something weird going on and you are using the larger main box. And for some reason the TV is saying something on the screen, that makes you think you are getting 4K - when you are not.
By the way; the Binary B6 HDMI cables are great. The B4 not so much. Considering the cheap price and very little cost difference, why are you not using B6, instead of the B4.
You also realize the Binary B4 is rated for only 10.2Gbps (That's 4K non HDR).
The B6 is rated for 18Gbps (That's 4K HDR).
