JVC shows up in different forums, but since time marches on, new info appears from time to time. I'd like to raise the question: Has anyone succeeded in locating the hex codes for the JVC Emerald series TVs? They aren't in any database I can find, and learning is very hit and miss.

Someone will probably help you out directly, but there's a tedious backup: in the original Pronto forum and its files section, there are programs that will identify the characteristics of your successful learns and will generate from that the whole set of 256 possible commands. This can be dangerous if there's one code that, all by itself, puts the projector into a service mode that the factory remote can't get you out of, so it's a bit dangerous.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

In pursuing the JVC codes for the Emerald series TVs, I've found the following:

Most of the codes from code set 16 in the Remote Central database for JVC TVs will work with the Emerald series. HOWEVER, I also found that many MX-3000 remotes with operating system dates prior to May 20, 2005 will NOT output the codes, even though they appear to accept them. Later version controllers seem to be OK. (That explains why I made the remark about hit-or-miss learning activities in the original post.)
