I need a small TV for a customer to set on their porch. They want it on a stand and just carry it in and out. I need IP control on it to make it work with the elan system. Anyone know the smallest TV that is still controllable?

If they're carrying it in and out can't they just turn it on manually?
Why just IP? Can't elan do IR over the HDMI Extender, is there a HDMI Extender?
Just on/off/volume is all you need right?

Why 20" - placement, weight or $

Currently they have a samsung that is 20”-24”. It is attached to a small table top easel that the client really likes. I can’t put an ir flasher on the tv because they do move it in and out. I have a JAP receiver mounted on the back of the easel so they just have to connect a cat wire. Elan controls the video switching and the sources. But the client is getting confused over turning on the tv and controlling the volume.
With IP control I could keep them from having to use Elan and the Samsung remote.

Fins,
Could you pop the back off the set and move an IR emitter inside?

Direct IP control of TV's doesn't always work out because many models shut down the communications processor when the TV is OFF -- making IP turn-ON impossible. Global Caché Flex can be a great problem solver.

If the JAP receiver moves with the TV why not use their IR dongle that comes off of the serial port. It's not the prettiest solution, but it's worked fine for me.
