Does anyone know of a source for information on changes to the HEOS system implemented since the most recent court decision?

Thanks.

Craig

There have been no changes I have seen so far - the case is not over. I hope a licensing deal will be struck and business will remain as usual.

Thanks for the reply. I search every now and then and all I've found of late was a cryptic post on Sonos user forum where a supposed HEOS user found changes to the app "crippling" and wanted to know what to buy to change his whole system to Sonos. Of course he didn't elaborate.

None of my clients have left angry messages so I'm thinking it's business as usual, at least for now.

Craig.

So far the only change has been in the app. The difference is the group volume control has gone away, meaning there is no longer a master volume within the app. You can access all zone volumes on the same pop up, but must control each individually. It is only a minor inconvenience, but I miss it.

I am not sure if third party control like RTI still has the ability.

Nothing has changed within ELAN. They do their own grouping scheme that is the same across all media players.

We had just starting using Heos in our Crestron projects since they finally got their module to work. But I'm worried about having systems being crippled by this lawsuit. Since Sonos really does not do full integration with Crestron, I have stayed away.

I dont think theres much to worry about. They arent going to pull the plug on millions of installed devices.

They may lose some functionality from within the native app. We dont use it anyway...

Well “Master Volume” is back on the app, so something was resolved!

Missed this. Damn glad to hear this, as we really like how it integrates with Crestron.
