Does anyone know if Motorola boxes do or do not have multiple code sets? I'm starting a project with as many as 12 of these things around the house, many centrally located in a rack.

Yes, I'm aware of zoned IR repeaters. I was wondering if anyone knew if the boxes had multiple code sets so that I did not need a Xantech RT16-10; I find them slow. I was planning on using a Crestron controller, but wondered if I needed one with enough IR outputs for each box, or if one output with multiple codes could do it.

I have just recently installed two of the DCT 6208. In the setup I didn't see any additional code sets, unless they are hidden.
"zoned IR repeater" I've just always referred to it as an IR router.
If your really bored and lacking entertainment, call the cable provider tech support.
BTW, The local cable co. here has been having problems with these boxes. One of the two I installed was bad. The other had a curb line issue.
Good Luck!

From all of my IR info and The info from HTM's site, There is only one IR code set for the DCT6200 and 6208 , which is the only one I seem to run across. As geraldB said, there was no change of codes listed in the manual and the remote instructions. I am sure it can be done if you have access to the operating system of the Cable box. I do not know of anyone with that kind of access.

no, Motorola boxes dont have multiple code sets.

The same code set is used across multiple types of Motorola boxes.

Zoned IR and duct tape are the best solution
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.
