i have a customer with a 42" flat panel lcd over her fireplace behind a motorized wood panel the problem i have is with her harmony remote everytime she changes activities the door closed down is there a way to get the door to stay up until she turns the system off. the rest of the equipment works perfectly but her electrician installed the lift and is controlling it with ir, is there a way to do it with the trigger output on the integra receiver i think the lift brand is autron or something like that.any help or suggestions would be great, thanks all.

Auton makes a control box that will allow you to use a 12 Volt trigger to control the door opening and closing.

If it is IR controlled then it sounds like the remote needs to be reprogrammed. Did you program?????? The auton IR codes are (or at least were) Toggle codes. This means you hit the button once and it closed. A second time to open.

If I had to guess someone programmed the auton IR code in each macro for source selection. This means the first source selected will open but when she selects a new source it is sent the close command.

Either get rid of the harmony, or reprogram the macro to only control the 'lift' when you power up the system or turn it off! The 'activity' macro is your problem!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

no i didn't program this remote. i came in after the electrician screwed it up. i am charging her 100.00 per hour to fix it, but i do not want to spend a half day out there messing around with it either. i will need to get the auton lift model # so as to see if it has a trigger input, this would be the easiest fix i think. if not i may need some help with the direction to go in to fix the programming on the harmony. thanks for the help.

The harmony can be customized in the activity macro to only send the lift up or down at a specified time. Just go into customize in either the device or the activity and you should be able to get it ti act as you wish. If that doesn't work, call Harmony tech support and they can rewrite the XML to do exactly what you like.
