When integrating a TV in a install with a control system, external speakers or soundbar, Apple TV for smart TV. Is there any benefit from a top of the range TV. eg. a Samsung 65" 9000 series over a Samsung 65" 6000 series ?

Both TVs would be 4k HDR UHD is there anything tangible that would set them apart when excluding control, audio, smart features (pretty sure all TVs in 2018 have these), ports, and bezel ?

Picture quality man! It’s nearly impossible to make black with light, so local dimming does good and organics do it great.

Ah. For a moment I thought you were talking about a TV meant to go over a stove. Top of the range, you know. Never heard of them.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Is there a difference between a Cobalt and a Cadillac? Made by same company? :)

The 6000 is entry level. You can even see a difference at Best Buy. Granted, they always make the cheaper TV look about as bad as they can lol.

Besides better black level and contrast usually the higher models have better processing so you eliminate color banding, reduce compression artifacts and does better with motion.

No one in CI world should ever use TVs for anything but a display.

Smart features suck, can be laggy and control sucks. That's why we use Oppo, Roku or ATV.

No TV was ever made with sound in mind, so speakers suck.
That's why we use AVRs, soundbars, etc.

What's left is the actual display quality.

Huh? Always quote bottom of the oven and move up to top of the range. Seriously why would you want to sell anything less? Unless that is what budget requires.

Quote low first then go high? Not sure thats right. Present higher, not necessarily the highest, first then move down to meet budgets sound. Its always more comforting for buyers to spend less than to get them to spend more, no? A psychological thing in buying/selling.

Reminds me of a favorite old song...

Top, top of the range... where the deer and the antelope cook...

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the kitchen is not smoky all day.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Use a TV appropriate for the application. In a high end media room, go for the top. In guest bathroom, perhaps not the top.

Never coming to visit, as it's apparent you abuse your guests.... I expect full 4K HD when I pee. ;-)

I wouldn't buy a car from company whose designers who don't know how to spell "cinnamum."
