Just finished a JAP system with C4.

I've heard Pixel mentioned here as well.

I'm assuming most are doing JAP, but I'm guessing this category will grow with more players entering the game.

I think Snap is trying to cook up their own version.

I like JAP. The fast switching is great. The tech support is great. The interface for changing settings and configuring could be easier.

If Snap can successfully deploy at a better price point and apply their awesome GUI and OVRC, it would be really great.

I've tried Miravue and will not go back any time soon.

I bet they do. Couple years back they had some MoIP in their both. I doubt they gave up on it. I bet it will be crazy easy and pretty much plug and play. If so, they will gain market share. There is no way it wouldnt have OvrC.

I don’t think the snap solution will be cheaper if it ever happens. I believe they were working on it before they changed their policy to buying lines instead of building them.

It's interesting to me that you can buy a Roku for $99 for less, (or a Fire Stick for that matter for $40) and it can stream excellent video quality wirelessly - video that would be totally acceptable for just about every customer I have.

And yet, you can't distribute video over a hard wired network without spending $1000-$2000 per TV retail. I guess it's all the copyright crap. And encoding.

There certainly is reasons, hence why I don't use it.

Not knocking their product, but for their price, there are other alternatives that give you more features for the same or less.

Finishing up my second Zektor Pixel. 10X20.

(1)Solid stuff.
(2)You can not go wrong dealing with Jeff.
(3)Less at retail than others that I have used in the past.
(4)Least shopped brand name by nosy customers
(5)Works solid.

And do NOT forget the Jerky......

Examples please?

1. No Cisco/Luxul managed switches required for switching. Can run over your existing network on any manufacturer.

2. Lower cost.

3. IP cameras can be used as sources in the system for free, without additional hardware.

4. Video Tiling on every decoder with multiple sources.

5. Videowalls with multiple TV's.

6. PIP popups of any source.

7. Text Overlay on any source. This and PIP are great for video doorbells.

8. Native KODI support.

9. IR/RS232 control from ethernet injection. Basically use the existing CAT cable to do it all.

10. Because Rhea added it to his list, SOLID product.

11. Can use practically any H264 encoder.

12. Stream files directly from NAS.

13. Digital Signage applications.

14. NetPlay Home allows using any Android device as a decoder to the system by just installing a single app with license applied. Includes Sony TV's, FireTV's, NVidea Shields and others.

15. One place to manage the whole matrix system.

These are all the options that I've used.

Probably just a lot easier to give you the link and you can do your own research.

Crestron's DM-NVX is a good choice, works great in my experience.

+1 over here as well. I've been using it for years and I love it! Only good things to say about it, and it's infinitely more configurable than any of the other options out there. They're also constantly adding new features, I think they even have an Alexa skill for netplay now.

Anybody that's remotely interested should pick up one of the VRX's to play with as a virtual matrix manager and feed it your own test sources that you probably already have access to, (ie: IP cams, HDHomerun, files on a nas, or any rtsp stream really...) and see what it's all about.
