Our one supplier has been providing us pricing for the Vivitek Projectors. I have never used this brand so am hesitant to include them on quotes and am choosing JVC, Optoma projectors instead as I don't want to come across any weird quirks with the Vivitek and don't want to Guinea Pig a customer with this brand.
Anyone have experience with these projectors? What's the ease of install, picture quality, control/available drivers? Any nuances/quirks you have come across installing them?
For Control majority of our systems will be either Crestron (RS232/IP) or URC CCP (IR).
If you could also list the model that was installed it would be much appreciated.

If you have a projection setup in your showroom (or home), ask your supplier to send you a demo unit to test out. If they don't want to or can't, that might give you a clue on how much they are willing to support their dealers. I mean it IS a business relationship and if you are willing to take the time to set it up and test it, then they should be willing to supply the demo unit you can send back when done.
If your supplier treats you like a consumer, with just return polices and such... Well at least you know Amazon.com is a better place to shop :)

Doesn’t fit my “trusted name” criteria and would be hesitant to put my name on one. LG is at the top of my lower hemisphere brand preference. That being said, it was cheap AF, had a 5yr+ full warranty, looked great and was reasonably quiet- I’d consider it. But only a proper test drive could entertain it as mentioned above.

A few years back I was talked into buying one for a small conference room installation. I was pleasantly surprised.

One distributor was pushing me to try them, told me they OEM for other brands that I probably have used, just wouldn't tell me which brands.

I have used them as well and was pleasantly surprised, great bang for the buck. Easy to integrate and they have a good product range of product. I installed one of their laser view product and it was a flamethrower for the money.
