a storm last month laid trees down in our yard and is forcing us todo some yard rework. I want todo some landscape lighting but it is easier for me to put the transformer in the basement then mount it outside. Every Transformer I have found is rated for outdoor use only.
What is my best option for an indoor transformer? maybe just use something from an indoor low voltage line like seagul?

the NEC Do tell. I mean, really, please tell about it. The first things I see when I look this up are oil-filled transformers and transformers that require a vault. Surely not all outdoor-rated transformers have the same requirements as oil-filled or vault types, so maybe you can't automatically say they all can't be used indoors.
