If I remember right, the first pair of digits in the sony commands strings is a device identifier, any reason they would use a different code for the "UDP" over the "BDP" players?

I'm connected and I see feedback when I manually power the unit on/off, but when I send commands I get nothing. In the System Menu, i turned ON entenal control or whatever its called, I'm assuming thats the RS232 control.

Not sure what to do next. Can't get any commands to work.

Remote Start.
I’m having an issue waking up the X800 model even though it supports WOL and I have Remote Start on.
I haven’t contacted the developer of the driver yet. (For Elan G)

Yep. I’m good except for power on.
Remote Start is enabled by default, so I haven’t had to mess with that.
...just no power on working, at the moment.

Hmmm I can’t get anything to work. Do you know it it’s the same commands used for older BDP models?

I believe so. It’s a third-party driver from IntrinsicDev so you can’t see the commands but I’ve also used it on the newer model non-4K Blu-ray players.
Haven’t tried it on old ones.

IP control works. Power on too but requires TWO drivers, one specifically for power on.

I was just testing a system with the UBP-X800 yesterday with the same third-party Elan driver and my power control was working perfectly.
I know the other job has the same settings but wasn’t working. I need to go back and check that one.

We do Control4, not Elan, but one of the firmware versions for the X800 had lots of network issues, including not accepting Wake On Lan. It would also not always connect to the update server to get the newer version that fixed the problems, so they had to be updated by USB. Might be something to look at while you are there.

This is very confusing to me. I dont recall ever having to use 2 drivers for my 1000ES's

You're using IP?

Something to do with wake on lan or something to that affect. A different set of of command parameters for "on".

Yes, IP Control.

Shortly after they came out, there was a firmware update that fixed quickstart and/or the IP On Command. the 1000ES does indeed respond to an ON command. It doesnt need WoL

I think I would of had a few phone calls by now if my 1000es's were not turning on.

Can you possibly help me with a "UBP-X1000ES IP Control for Dummies" I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Only port I can succesfully connect from my Crestron processor is TCP port 9090. I have downloaded a bunch of modules, but I've been unsuccessful so far. BDP is running FW M37.R.0178 if that helps.
