In addition to our lighting controls, AV, etc., we are now dealers selling roller shades that integrate easily into the system.
We are looking for a company that when we have the project, can take exact measurements for us, and when we provide the shades, can install same.
We are located in Los Angeles.

Anyone out there that either does this, or can recommend someone?

Thx

The only reliable 3rd parties I have encountered that will measure and install shades that you sell are window/door guys. Tischler for example.

I'd call a bunch of local shade stores, and try to find an owner who will share a name. I think many of them sub out the install work. Not sure about measuring, though.

I don't think measuring is the hard part.

Who's liable when the shades don't fit?  I guess this would work for easy installs like surface mounted shades, but if you're doing more complex shade installations with pockets, coupled curtain wall, angled coupled shades, etc. then there's a lot that goes into getting it all right.

There are two shade installers in my area that work as subcontractors for several of the manual shading companies doing installations.  I've used them when I need extra hands to help install large shades, but I'd never consider hiring them to take measurements and install shades by themselves.

If you're doing wired shades, you also have to take this into account.  Getting the wiring right so it's tucked up out of the way can be the most difficult part of shade installs and probably not something an installer for manual shades is going to be comfortable with. Then there's activating, setting open/close limits, dealing with telescoping and then all the fine tuning with bracket adjustments for coupled shades, etc.

Anyone that's going to be good at this is probably also going to be your direct competitor, so might be difficult to outsource.

I don't know if hard is the best way to describe it but its absolutely the most important part. You can lose hours in labor if your finished shades are too large or too small for the given opening.

Call Jack Pitson at Aero Shades for a top notch Los Angeles based shade guy. I, personally, measure and install Crestron shades ourselves but have used Jack many times in the past with great success.

Look up SM Automatic in Hawthorne.

A dozen years ago I was adding A/V in a huge house remodel. They already had drapes controlled by SM Automatic remotes and motors. I got one of their relay boards to add control of a fireplace. They were friendly and understood the technical details of what I needed. (They also had a 12-zone remote with up, down, and stop for each zone plus a set of all-zone buttons.)

When I visited them to buy the stuff, I saw the large work tables you'd expect at a place that made shades and such.

Give them a try or at least an interview. They're in Hawthorne.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
