For me it was Kansas City by Wilbert Harrison. 1959. Twenty-five cents. I still have it, I think.

They got some crazy little women there and I'm gonna get me one. (Not that I know this for sure.)

This thread now makes me think some smartass is going to start one named something like "what's the last BD you're every going to buy?" And that reminds me of the joke --

Did you hear that Sony came out with a pacemaker?
Yep. They call it "My Last Sony."

The name is modeled on My First Sony from 1991:

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The first record i purchased was a list of shots i had received from my doctor. Elementary school required medical records from every new student.

Mom gave me a 45 of the Rovers , "Wasn't that a party", but my first album purchase, Appetite For Destruction was also my first record purchase.
My wife says I can't do sarcasm. She says I just sound like an a$$hole.

Knowing you, it probably played at 16 2/3 RPM.

Any Way You Want It. Dave Clark 5. late 64, or early 65
45 rpm single

First lp was Rolling Stones first. Introducing "Englands Newest Hitmakers". Bought that in fall of 65.
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

You're older than I thought. I have that on a 78!

My Boy Lollipop by (IIRC) Lil Millie...  I think I was about 7 and bought it with my pocket money whilst out shopping at the market with my mum...
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

House Of The Rising Sun, by The Animals- I was about 8 or 9, at the time. My mom used to play Perry Como to get me to go to sleep and the only reason that worked is so I didn't have to listen to it if I was sleeping. I hated that crap! My brother is about 2-1/2 years older and he started high school in '69, which means the music he brought home was a bit ahead of what typical 11 year olds listened to. Cream, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, ELP, King Crimson, early Doors.......I think some of that stuff scared my friends- we'd go to their house and listen to Donny & Marie and other stuff that I hated, then we'd go to our house- I'd put on 21st Century Schitzoid Man, Crossroads and other songs that were too bizarre for them and in about 5 minutes, they wanted to leave and their voices were shaky.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

AC-DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

I still remember the glee my friends and I shared while chorusing in on Big Balls but my favorite song from that album was Ride On hands down.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

Since I played trumpet in school, it could have been a Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass - Whipped Cream?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
