Hi all,

So I am in the process of adding an Apple TV 4k to a URC MX-1200 environment. The setup uses a hidden/remote A/V rack and uses the URC RF sensors with an IR blaster in the cabinet. Adding the Apple TV seems to be pretty straight forward, letting the Apple TV learn IR commands for the basic navigation and playback functions.

The challenge I have found is with the Apple TV "Home" button. There seems to be no obvious way to have the Apple TV learn an IR command for the "Home" function, and I have not seen any discrete IR codes for it either.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has run into this issue, and if there are any known workarounds.

Thanks

TEST THE PAUSE BUTTON. If it doesn’t work call URC and have them send you some the new codes which you will copy/paste into Universal browser window and then drag and drop the crosshairs onto the button.

If you learn a remote on the Apple TV 4k, the code you teach for 'Next', Play symbol + vertical bar '|', will function as the Home key with a Short Press. If you press this button for an extended duration, you will be taken to the 'Sleep' Menu.

TVOS 14.3 has removed this capability. They also removed the ability to put the unit to sleep using a learned 'Stop' command.
