"Hack"

I wouldn't call a function built into the firmware a hack.

They provide the option to turn the radios off and keep them off so it would seem they understand the need.

In the past, I've turned off the radios, but when I'd call Sonos they would say "you have to turn the radios back on to get support. We don't officially support devices with the radio turned off".

Last time I confessed the radios were off, and they didn't say anything in that specific instance. Maybe their getting used to it.

I suppose even Sonos is capable of learning from their mistakes.

Perhaps someday they will put aside their arrogance and start being helpful...

Guys, it took me a while to go back to the jobsite and try your inputs on this, and I can tell you, THANK YOU - Disabling the Radio on the Connect Amps solved the problem we had for months within minutes. We had spent several hours of precious time with their senior support and nobody was capable of telling me this. That is ridiculous. They know what’s causing the network loop problem, crashing the network and still wasting our time blaming it on the router, the cable, the switch, the weather.

Thank you again !

Pleased to hear that disabling the radios worked.  A Sonos employees who's been with the company 15 years stopped by one of my projects yesterday to see how I use Sonos for custom installs.

Disabling the radios is one of many things we discussed.

And......?
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
