I've used several of the Sony 885's, which come in at $25k. We are very happy with the results.

Many people like the Sonys for many reasons. These days, that seems to be the easy part.

Next, if I may, what is your favorite way of transmitting said 4k signal (the good one, 4k/60, 4:4:4)? I'm having issues reliably running this at 40 feet or better. Luckily I'm stumbling in my own theater at the moment.

No, not on this one. Thank you for the option though!

I did try the accelerator piece and it didn't fly for the old existing HDMI cable. No worries for now, I'm going to be out of town for most of the rest of the month.

I'm planning to use the 885ES on a 160" screen and have been wondering if it would be bright enough (the price jump to the 5000ES is too much for the budget).

What screen are you using???
