What is everyone using for audio sources for C4 systems? I will be using a C4 EA5 which has 4 sources. is anyone using the Denon HEOS Link? How is the integration with C4? Are they reliable?

Is there a service that is not provided by C4 that you need?

In the US there is:

TIDAL
Deezer
Pandora
Napster
TuneIn
SiriusXM
iHeart Radio:
Spotify Connect

and to be honest the HEOS integration, not that great.

And Sharebridge driver for direct airplay to appease the Amazon and Apple folks.

Budget reasons. Nothing wrong with using the C4 EA5 and the Triad matrix and amps. BTW, this setup sounds great.

4 zones with EA5 = $2000 MSRP
Denon Heos or Sonos Connect = $1396 MSRP

multi-room audio systems with C4 will get an EA5. Just looking at adding another audio source or 2 without adding another C4 controller.

So you’re going to have a mix of c4 and (brand x) streaming services on the budget conscious jobs or just brand x?

If that latter I’d do Sonos over any of the wannabe Sonos killers any day.

If you’re already doing a controller and using c4 services that fully meet the client needs I’d say add another ea1 (or two) with an audio extractor if you really need more than the 3-5 streams provided from an ea3/5 or add an ea3 or T1 for extra stream/zone. The HEOS news isn’t promising and like I said the integration sucks. Sonos integration; you get 70 favs from MySonos that’s it. IMO save a few bucks or have one company as your go to for product and service. Avoid the finger pointing and the inevitable driver and fw debacles...again, unless there is a specific service you need that c4 doesn’t provide.
