So iport seems to have never came out with a model of iPod touch in wall docks that support the lightning connector I just noticed.

I have a client with some of these tied into the audio switcher. They are 30 pin so he cant use them with newer phones or iPod touches with the lightning connector.

I know times might have changed a bit but I do still see some value in a product like this. My question is what exists today to replace these and allow usage with newer devices? I'm not looking to use a dongle 30 pin to lightning either.

What about the 30-to-lighting adapter?

Biggest issue will be the added height.

The only solution I’m coming up with would be something like this, a Bluetooth to 30-pin adapter. [Link: amazon.com]

We usually use drywall.

After Airplay came out, they weren't really that helpful except for charging.

alright. screw it then. i'll just leave the legacy stuff there as he uses an iPod touch still with it.

thanks for that bluetooth link. Thats a good idea. But with airplay its just so much easier then pairing bluetooth. i'll just upgrade the system to give him airplay capability and call it a day.
