The bulk pack shows qty 50... which figured out at $2.14 a piece.

Where did you see $11 each... am I missing something?

Click on the second link and pick one (or more)- the price is shown.

Right- they think in terms of power, lights, switches and motors. They have no idea about why they shouldn't run new wiring adjacent and parallel to LV cabling. They're often lazy and opportunistic, too- they think its OK to use any hole that's drilled as a route for their wiring, even if it was drilled by someone else and has a pull cord passing through it.

Electricians are to us what these people are to the entire job:

Right now we're blessed with such a person who, for instance, went at the electrical plans when the city told us that the amount of current we'll need for the restaurant is beyond what the city can supply. She started by cutting the LED trim lighting near the floor. No clue. She was stopped and we're waiting for the city to run more power. This is City of Los Angeles and we're downtown.

What can be done wrong on a job is beyond amazing.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

J-box that was supposed to be used ONLY for the TV I need to install.

A TV that we recently installed “stopped working”. On investigation, we discovered that it’s outlet was on a newly installed dimmer. On that same job, I found one of my newly pulled network cables daisy chained into the phone system.

This sort of stuff seems to follow this particular architect/GC. We’ve done three personal houses and a few projects with him and this sort of stuff always happens. He has no respect for technology and very little for trades.

Some electricians get it, some don't.

One job I had a cat5 run to the back box for the doorbell. It was to tie into the sound system so the music would momentarily mute.

Guy hooked it up, apparently thinking there was another doorbell button somewhere. Lets see. Front door, back door, side door, and....Well, what the hell....LOL

You just have to laugh....
