I have not had a single issue with the ones that were hardwired to the network

I agree, wired is rock solid. We have installed around 35 to 40 of these using IP control with both Crestron and Savant. Even have three at my own home.

Only minor grumble is Le is they occasionally play with the menu layouts on firmware upgrades!

i was going to try power line to get wired Ethernet to the screen we tried on WiFi but it would have involved a lot of work to get the power line adaptor behind the flush mounted screen which was in a wooden frame mounted on a solid brick wall. The IR worked fine so we left it at that.
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

What?

These are all IP commands. The difference between them and the "IR" list is the IR is a one way command with no polling function.

*SC0000000000000001 is Power ON and the TV returns 0000000000000000 if it receives and executes the command.

If you send the TV *SEPOWR################ to ask it the power status it would send back 0000000000000001 to tell you that it's on.

If you send an "IR" command (which is not infrared, it's just a one way command with no state polling) like Up Arrow you's send *SCIRCC0000000000000009 and that command is sent with the TV returning 0000000000000000 if it's successful or FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF if it's a wrong code. You can't ask the TV the status of the Up button, though.

Since you said your control system is RTI, RTI has a Sony IP TV driver in the driver store.

You download the driver from the site and put it in the "Control Drivers" folder and then it will show up. If you are using ID 9 there is also a sample file with all the authorization screens you need pre-built.
