I registered for the forums a few months back and I seem to only get the public forums. There’s very little activity there. I spoke with a few guys a CEDIA and they made it seem like it was a bustling community. Do you have to be a Platinum member to see other forums?

Public forums are dead.
There are private forums for folks who are verified "in the industry"
The platinum memberships open up a couple exclusive forums... its more just to show support for the site though.
If you are in the industry and dont have access to the verified forums, you need to get a hold of Gary or a mod to get you set up properly. I believe a couple are members around here.
