I like Fred’s suggestion. While there is no Mirage in the system, I have a customer with a backup generator that does not instantly come online and I suspect that there is another power bounce as power service is restored. After power outages the network and control systems would end up in wierd states and need to be restarted in sequence. There is no central rack, bits and pieces are scattered throughout the house, some requiring a ladder to access. A few small UPS’s in strategic locations restored stability.
