Ive got an autonomics mirage mms-2a the when i feed to RCA out into the amp and then to the speakers its loud enough, but when i feed the digital coaxial out from the mirage into the amp its very quite the volume on the amp has to be at 100% even to hear it at all and even then its very quiet.

Ive done some testing passing the digital caoxial first through a DAC to convert it to RCA then feed the RCA into the amp and i get the same issue on sound levels.

Has anyone come across this before ?
