I don't do much work with blinds. Only Draper blackout motorized shades in the past. Looking for ideas to cover sliding glass door. Can be manual, motorized. Budget friendly. Don't want to break the bank, but I can't stand vertical blinds. Does something reasonable exist? A sheet and tacks is not an option. What have you guys run across? Thanks in advance.

Q-Motion has battery-powered motorized shades and blinds- they're very quiet and the company is now a part of LeGrande. Battery life is excellent.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

If you're not doing shades yet, you should be.  Might recommendation would be to look at Lutron.  I think it's fairly easy to get setup for the battery operated "Triathlon" products.

Lol...+1

We have 2 in our office and a job with 22 shades. Our office shades will randomly jog up or down for no reason. Clients home does the same and a lot of the time on a bank of 2 or 3 shades 1 won’t open or close until the 3rd or 4th button press. The hem bars don’t stay aligned, they all go at different speeds even when all batteries are new.

Lutron shades are about the same price, look better and just work.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Every time I see this thread title I have to stop, then realize what the subject was. When I first saw the title, I was scheduled to go see my one blind client. Video was not getting through to the TV from his Persian satellite channels.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
