Every time I go to buy thermal socks, they are way too thick...or to small for my boat a$$ feet... or both.

I have to buy the extended size. I am looking for some thermal socks for cold weather that are not so thick. Any recommendations?

This is all I like to wear. I can't tell you how long they hold up because I haven't worn a pair out yet. My feet never sweat, my toes don't sting in the cold.

Worth every penny.

Exactly this.  You might think, "That seems awfully expensive for a pair of socks!" but it is oh, so worth it.

Lifetime warranty too.  I too have yet to wear a pair out, but have a friend who has.  Darn Tough replaced his socks, no questions asked.

I'll take Dave's comment of 'This is all I like to wear,' and change it to 'Darn Tough is all I will wear!'

I have some from WalMart- Dickies. Thick enough to be warm, but not so thick you can't stuff your feet into your shoes. Mine are Size- Clown, Medium. Shooting supply shops that cater to law enforcement have good socks, too.

Are you recommending all of their socks, or just some from one category -- ski, run, etc?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I have ran through 2 pairs of darn tough socks, pushing 3 years of use. I don't wear shoes in anyone's home so I am always running around in socks. And a 10 mile hike is not an anomaly with me at any point in the year.

They are the only socks I buy these days, and I will be wearing a pair today when I sneak off for lunch and get a couple runs in.

I'm jealous on two points. You get to sneak off for lunch, and you get to do something you enjoy when you do it.

I take my shoes off too, wear these on concrete, hardwood, up and down steps. I appreciate them every time I pull them up.

Also a great gift for someone.

Ernie, I haven't had to buy any new for a few years, I don't remember all of the choices being there, but I'll put my money on anything they make.

SmartWool is the only way to fly. They're good for everything from pre-wire on a 12 degree day to being the only socks I wear with my dry suit when boating in sub freezing temps.

Dave, do they have plain white socks? I don't like colored socks and didn't see anything white on the site.

Heard something about one of the guys doing the New Years show in NYC this year.

He had on electric socks and full underwear.

While everyone else was freezing, he would push a button and turn on the heat.

Tell us the truth... you only googled it not for the product. But for the models wearing them.

If I go out during muzzleloader season, I wear these.. My feet get really cold no matter what, so I've gotta have something to keep my feet warm.  These things work great...  I can wear the best merino wool...doesn't matter...my tender feet need to be heated!
