I'd like to get some opinions.
I'm considering contracting a marketing consultant to help me design some materials for my company. Probably looking for a spruced up logo, letterhaed, envelopes, custom contract, and a "company capabilities" brochure.
There are alot of ways to skin this cat, so I'm interested in hearing what everyone else is doing, and how much it cost.

Contact you local state college that has a good business program or any business school. Most of the time its free and you get some great ideas (Have students design the marketing for you is what I mean). Plus its a great experience for the students and a great way to spread the word about your company.

That's a darned good idea. I recentiy read an article in the paper detailing how a university's architecture grads redesigned the layout of parking, retail businesses, etc., of an entire nearby small town (free of course as part of their grad program).
The layout was good enough that the town is actually voting on whether or not to adopt it.

That's an awesome idea. Thanks. I'm a Washington University (St. Louis)grad and I know they have some great programs. Don't know why I didn't think of this.

Guys, there was an article/column in an industry rag last month by someone that does marketing for the CI industry. I can't find the magazine anymore. Pretty sure it would have been one of: CEPRO or Residential systems. Anyone else see this and know who wrote it? I seem to recall the company was based on the left coast somewhere.
Thanks for the help.
PS - anyone know where Mac Consulting is or how to contact them?
