Guys, I am installing an existing office system for a client who has a AVR3600 with no factory remote (lost in a move). It has three digital audio inputs: 1 RCA for Laserdisc AC3; and 1 Toslink and one SPDIF RCA. Front of the receiver has direct buttons for all inputs, including AC3. I have both SPDIF and Toslink being used by cable box and dvd player, but can't get them to work. Without the factory remote or manual, I can't figure out how to select the digital input.

I am going to program a MX850 and have already looked at the file - nothing jumps out at me. Perhaps it needs to be activated in the menu? Cant get into the menu from the front of the unit either.

Anyone know how to access the menu with HTM or Pronto menu? Anyone know how to activate the digital input without the factory remote?

Thanks very much in advance. Here is a pic of the unit, but no manual to download: [Link: usa.denon.com]

Thanks again,

E. J.

Hook up the Monitor output to a TV. Press the setup button on the amp. Cursor down to digital in assignment. press enter. cursor left or right to select what source (TV, DVD, SAT) you want to be each digital input. press enter when done, then press setup.
