I installed this software (Intellifile 11 ver 1.15 on my compaq Armada E500)

The problem that I am having is that the toolbox (f2) will not appear on my screen
If I use edit IR library (f3), it will appear.

The same software installed on my desktop worked perfectly. Using f2, the yellow
IR toolbox appears.

I have tried removing and reinstalling the software with no sucess on the laptop.

Any suggestions?

I've never had any trouble, and have installed it on 6 or 7 different machines...

Did you try the 'Tools/Open Library Toolbox' Menu command? (instead of F2?)

Is your resolution set to some odd setting, and the toolbox is 'appearing', but off the screen?...

I'm grasping at straws here... Good luck,

Norm

I have tried it from the menu with the same result. Tried lower screen resolutions, no success. I have deleted it and reinstalled it a couple of times as well. I was using an older version but had to upgrade my laptop to Win XP (had other software which would only run under XP) and this is when the fun began. Spoke to Niles tech support and downloaded the latest version 1.15 for 98/me/xp. Installed and this is the only issue. Niles suggests I try another Laptop but its getting difficult to find laptops with
a serial port.

Thanks for the great suggestions.

Hi Norm,

Thanks for your great suggestion. I have solved my problem. Setting my screen
resolution to 1600x1200 made it appear. So it appears you were right about it being outside my screen view. Dragged it back onto the Niles part of the size, resized back to 1024x780 and problem resolved. Did not think to increase the resolution which led to the solution.

Thanks again,

Bill
