After months of telling us it was coming, it is live. Just tested on a 3rd gen ATV in my office, it does work. This will be nice, I have several clients who have secondary streaming devices just for Amazon.

The apple TV remote still is a joke. It took forever for me to sign in.

Hopefully, this is good news. We had our Amazon Prime account hacked a few times on our Sammy TV. Someone kept ordering Harry Potter stuff for a few $. It's only my wife and I at home and we are not HP fans at all. Amazon still blamed it on our kids....which we never had. Anyway...we will give this a shot on our Apple TV. Thanks for the heads up, Richie Rich!

This is big for me....the only reason why we ever leave the apple tv (we cut the cord years ago). is to check on Movies on Prime...Not I don't have to!

I have a feeling it's going to get crazy with app's, streaming boxes and streaming companies, I saw that google is forcing the youtube app off of amazon boxes at the start of the year.

Itunes, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu cover 99% of my clients. Nice to have a one box solution finally. The only time I will probably see anything else is for the few Kodi people I have out there (I only install the device, I offer no "free tv" services). And the occasional Apple hater.

And the occasional Apple hater. What I was getting at is that it could get really crazy if content providers start forcing removal of their content from a given streaming box unless they get their cut, kind of like what we go thru with television stations lockouts with a given cable company until they pay. It would be like, what if Hulu all the sudden says that at the start of the year I'm removing my app from apple tv unless apple gives me a little money. I'm thinking it's going to happen more with free content but I guess any content provider could try to get a little cash out of apple or amazon or anyone with a popular steaming box and a lot of cash. It'll be interesting to see what happens with google and amazon with the youtube thing.

Roku is such a stable option, why mess with A-TV?

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

I warn my customers that any of these service options can come or go in a late night blink. Anytime a manufacturer or service attempts to exploit their market power, customers are likely to lose.
