Client needs as simple as it gets.
5 zones of music required.

They do know how to use their Spotify app, and from what I am aware, Sonos can be set up to be controlled from the Spotify app.
I am familiar with Bluesound and when in Spotify, you just select the Bluesound Amp (zone) you want to play in. I assume with Sonos this is basically the same.

Only reason I cannot use Bluesound for this client is they also use Sirius Radio and it is not available within the Bluesound app.

I need to make this as simple as I can.
I cannot tell them to use Sirius app and remember to Bluetooth, and then use Bluesound app for their music etc.

Use spotify app or use Sonos app for your music (itunes library), Sirius or Tune In radio.

I do not think there is anything else out there that could make this any easier, is there?

At the point that we need something "simpler" than Sonos, we should maybe just give up on technology and start buying books?

Sonos Is no longer simple, app is brutally counter intuitive. One of the worst “new” apps I have ever used.

Blue sound app is perfect, reminds me a lot of old Sonos app. This being said it does suck they don’t have Sirius or Pandora. Once they add those I think I will move to them. IP Control was flawless too.

Nativity C4 has everything you need (if you are a C4 dealer)

This is the system that I have been looking at. I think I'm going to try it in my own home to see how it goes.

Siriusxm is on the way, but I'm unsure when that will be.

It has changed, but I can't agree with brutal. I am using it in my house as I write this. Ironically the first Bad Religion song that came on this morning was "F$ck you"... lol

I wouldn't say brutal either, but it does suck. It also sucks knowing that it's probably going to be updated soon, and you don't know if it'll be better or worse.

They're not a 'slam dunk' anymore.

Roddy and I seem to be on the same page music-wise. Started my day off with Sonos and Bad Religion. It’s as easy as it ever was IMO, just different. “ Wah I don’t like change :-( “. I agree with Hasbeen as well, if it ever gets to the point where Sonos is not the “easy” option, I’ll go back to terrestrial radio.

The OP makes no mention of C4 as a control system. Yes we have Spotify (Connect!) in C4 now...you want easy to explain? Good luck with that. “First you need to start something in your Spotify app, then you need to send that to the C4 Spotify broadcast name, then in C4 you need to click the heart+ icon”. But wait, only 20 times because that’s the amount your allowed. And by the way, you’ll need to be on OS 210 and not have an HC250 running director.

Easy = Sonos.

Keep looking out for that Sonos Killer :-)

OJ is still looking for the real killers too.  :)  I use the Sonos app every day.  Yes, it's different than it was.  But it's not a big deal...Hint...everything is at the bottom..

The new app sucks.
Someone tried to reinvent the wheel when it wasn't necessary. I guess someone needed to justify their salary.
To make it worse, then someone above him needed to sign off on it.

Has anyone else noticed pandora favorites are not even in alphabetical order anymore? To find a station instead of going to the first letter now you have to scroll through all of them to find it.

What annoys me more than the app, which while not anywhere as good as the previous versions, is still useable, is the requirement to sign in to a Sonos account to add a player or even change settings within an existing system. If you have to setup a new account with the client's email address, they have to be present or at least have their email accessible and be notified that they will receive an email that they MUST confirm in order for you to add a player. It can really slow down the process of a quick easy upgrade.

Maybe look at VSSL? 6 zones with independent Spotify Connect, Airplay, and Google cast.
