I'm reminded of a truly "home remedy" type approach... I "cured" a similar problem once by inserting commands between macro commands. The inserteds came from a component that was not in the system and was not the same brand as the problem component. It's kinda like the rogue command slapped the component into knowing a new command was coming... or something dumb like that.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
