Our "for the people" Government has been anything but for most of my existence.

I submitted mine but feel like I'm just pissing into the wind!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Unfortunately, the government isn't going to bother to look at the comments.  The public comment period ended in August.

Y'all need to rethink wanting the government to be "in charge" of more things. When was the last time any politician worked in YOUR best interest.

Trying to save current net neutrality rules is us trying to get politicians to work in OUR best interest. By repealing these rules they are working in Comcast's, AT&T's, Verizon's, etc. best interest--NOT YOURS.

Are you okay with Comcast censoring your access to the Internet? Slowing or cutting off access to sites with which they directly compete? These are monopolistic tendencies that should both concern you and piss you off. Most major U.S. markets already have enforced monopolies in place due to deregulation, so most people don't even have the choice to move to a competing ISP.

Stop listening to the bullshit spouting from partisan news networks and sites trying to confuse you on this issue. Nothing about repealing these rules is good for YOU.

Yeah, that Obama care worked out so well..... you know, the choices and prices and such.

What are you talking about!? This has absolutely nothing to do with Obamacare/ACA! Again, you are being distracted by loaded language meant to appeal to your emotions on an irrelevant, completely unrelated issue. Don't let partisan politics cloud your personal judgement on this issue.

I've yet to see a single statement in these threads that presents a factually supported argument for repealing these rules. Every rebuttal and post in support of repeal is "but Obamacare and stuff" or "socialism!"

I mean guys, these rules have been in place for years now. What exactly do you think is wrong with your access to the Internet today that repealing these rules will improve in any way whatsoever?

Would you be okay with your electric utility telling you can use your electricity service for your toaster but powering your TV is an extra $5 a month? You can use your power for GE-branded appliances but not Samsung?

Not even close to the same thing. An electric utility would not care what brand you use as long as you use power and pay according for the power. Try again

That said, I think NN is a bit of a gov't overreach, but sometimes that is a good thing, and sometimes not.

Innovation at a grass roots level is often created by small companies and NN has so much regulatory over reach that smaller companies cannot begin to afford to hire the army of lawyers and admins to cut through the regulatory thicket that current NN requires. Bigger companies like Alphabet, Apple, Amazon have no problem dancing the NN tango. They have staff and whole branches inside their organization to deal with it.

What I think is funny, or odd...is most of the conservatives that usually harp about Obama, libturds, etc are so up in arms about over turning NN. It is hypocritical. Tucker is the only one so far on here that seems to true to his redneck conservatism.

I personally think it should be amended and not have such stifling regulatory rules, while trying to keep the spirit of the original bill and have some semblance of consumer protectionism. Somewhere in the middle of what they are proposing to over turn and what is now in place. But with the polarizing policies of the maniac in Washington, I doubt that any middle of the road legislation can ever be put forth and passed.
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

I say lets limits ALL cars to only 55 mph because there are poor souls that just cant afford cars that can go 150 mph.

Its interesting that anytime opposing views are expressed, the first, and only fall back is "your partisan, you only watch the WRONG news". REALLY???

What exactly is the right news? They are ALL whacked.

Think about the analogy again--it is perfectly comparable. If an electric utility doesn't care then why should an ISP that is feeding me data rather than electricity? As long as I pay for the amount of data I consume, at the rate I want to consume that data, what is actually coming down my connection should not matter. The only reason we're having this discussion is because ISPs have the ability to analyze and filter your network traffic--no matter where it originated--and have decided that they can monetize that capability while providing no consideration in return.

How does that make any sense as it would apply to net neutrality?
