Went to Meijer to grab a baking sheet for my mom...came out with a $99 32" TV. Got home expecting this "Element" brand TV to really suck...but its not too bad...great even considering the $99 price tag.

Now i have to go wash this cheap tv stink off me. I feel dirty.

Ditto. Got 2 birds in the smoker as we speak. Pot luck style so we just have the turkey and pie to make. I am winging a custom pumpkin pie on a golden Oreo crust with a whipped cream cheese layer and more Oreo crumble to top it off. Should pair well with the smoked turkey and gravy! Enjoy folks!

I am dreading tomorrow however. I have more work to do at my house than at most jobs I do in a day. Gotta take the TV down, run wires to closet, electrical, dress up the rack I built yesterday, and install the ventilation duct fan in the attic. Weak sauce!

Started yesterday with some brining, enchiladas and pierogi.
This morning was more prepping, cooking and baking.

We just finished eating and it was so good.

I was going to try to go to the range, but just like in years prior, I'm too stuffed and lazy to move.

I skipped the brine this year..... to much work and not enough time. I chose to inject instead. Butter, garlic, pepper, salt, and a bit of hot sauce injected last night, sat in fridge overnight to let the butter harden inside, rubbed them down this morning and threw them in the smoker at 300. Another 30-45 minutes to go! Smells bomb!

Make absolutely certain you surge protect the TV and the HDMI port on that POS.

Been there, done that.

I managed to stay true to history and never left the house.
Watched few NFL games, and even found time to watch 2 movies.
All in all, a great day.

Today, plan was to stay home.
No Black Friday shopping madness for this family.

As is, I found few decent deals on Home Depot's site, and ordered few things.
Some were available for either pickup or delivery, some were pickup only.
I'm not in a hurry for any of it, but may take out the HUMVEE and go for a ride to pick them up.

Got in a couple hours on the dirt bikes yesterday with my sons. Perfect day, a little cloud and cool and not to dusty.

We are cooking the big meal today as some family members wanted to spend yesterday with their significant others family.

Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Sadly my entire week has been involved in the planning of a funeral service for my FIL who passed on Saturday the 18th st 3:15pm.

Not that it wwasn't expected, but still. Service is tomorrow, with a crazy family gathering in the afternoon, where we'll all tell stories, laugh and cry.

The old goat WILL be missed. He was a hoot.
