I think from the far left edge of that little bump, it's about 1" to the inside. I thought this set has the rear IR input too.

We control them via IP. Crestron and Savant in our house, and I hear C4 is solid as well.

Doesn’t Elan have IP control of it? It is very solid!

Haven’t controlled a Sony TV via IR in a long long time

Have had several Sony XBR TV's reset to where IP control is turned off. I do IR on them all now.

What is your control system? My team moves a lot of Sony displays, north of 50 since this summer without any issues.

It doesn't matter the control system. It is the settings within the Sony tvs that have reset to IP control being turned off. The control system had nothing to do with it.

I am not seeing the same results you are moving a lot of these TV's. How are your display's being reset then?

We were struggling with a lift supplied by others with a Z series and I must of unplugged that display 30 times. That was this summer and I had control of the TV the other day while doing a general walk of the house.

Every single Sony TV I’ve installed that has IP control has been controlled via IP without any issue whatsoever.

Control system could matter because if there is something funky in the driver it could be sending a rogue reset command or something that isn’t compatible with the firmware of the TV.

Now he's not even talking to fins.

Et cetera.
Does anybody know exactly where to put the LED?

I once wrote a short term paper (like most of my posts) on how to figure this out. I'll send it if I can find it. I won't share it with you other guys. You don't need it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Oh, and it was answered in the second post. I guess it would be too much for you to pay attention to the details. Just TRY to point out when you believe others haven't? I mean, when is the last time in your 8 million posts that you actually answered a question yourself?

Meanwhile we provided an alternative than many of us had good success with controlling Sony TV's. And if Goldenrulze has found an issue I'd like to know what it is, I might run into the same issue. The world is full of patterns. Is it something he is doing to find the issue, or is it something we are doing to luckily miss the issue?

What the f$ck have you provided in this thread?

This has been what I am fishing for. Or are we just getting lucky? As I keep noting, its not like we have just controlled a display or 2...
